I’m not one for New Year’s resolutions, this year however I decided I’d work on some of my post-concussion symptoms. In particular, I’m talking about the struggle I’ve had reading. It’s not that I can’t read; it’s a focus problem. I can be part way through a book, not read for a few days and never come back to finish it.
My plan is to read a fiction and a non-fiction book each month. Sometimes I’ll be successful and sometimes I won’t. The most important thing for me will be not to get discouraged if I have a month where I don’t read very much. My hope is that, by giving myself a monthly deadline where I post why I chose a particular book and my thoughts on that book, I’ll be able to get into a routine that I won’t want to break.
